3 Ways ToTrain
We offer 1-on-1 Training, Semi-Private Training in small and staggered groups, and Manual Therapy. How many sessions do we recommend? With any change, it takes smaller and consistent effort to create large scale changes. Ideally, we want everyone to build up to the ability to train 3-4 times a week; and on average we recommend working with a coach 2-3 of those times weekly.
If you’re new to JBodyworks, you’ll start with a free, 55-minute intake session.
Focused Training to Meet Your Goals
Almost every person begins with 1-on-1 Training, as we use the focused attention to understand your unique body and background, and then start to build a profile of what your needs are, developing your strength and mobility, or getting you “back to zero.” Once you have your foundational skill set built or refreshed, you can move into Semi-Private Training if preferred.
1-1 Training
Price Range
$150 - $250 per 55-minute session depending on the coach
Personalized Training in Small Groups
You’re motivated by training in smaller groups, and you have some flexibility in your schedule. With semi-private, we stagger training for a session, so each client can maintain their personal program and receive individualized coaching within the group.
How does it work? You train for 1 hour, your group is staggered by 15 minutes. Example: you train from 8-9am, the next person is 8:15-9:15am.
Semi-Private Training
Price Range
$85-$95 per 55-minute session depending on the coach
Improve Movement or Get Beyond Pain
Manual therapy can be of huge value to any client or athlete – As you work out and develop new muscles, movement patterns, and tension patterns, we recommend incorporating Manual Therapy into your program as needed.
And, if you’re dealing with more acute pain or a chronic issue, we may start with Manual Therapy first and then progress into Performance Training.
Manual Therapy
Price Range
$165-$250 per 55-minute session depending on the coach

Corey Padnos is a remarkable trainer. He has worked with several members of my family, all with widely varying goals and challenges. Corey brings considerable expertise and years of experience to bear on a wide range of issues and goals. He has an uncanny ability to assess the impact of an exercise and then make modification after modification on the spot to maximize its effectiveness. He's been a life-changing partner in my family's fitness goals.

Your training program will be 100% customized to you. When it comes to developing a strength or movement program, most people think about how many sets or reps. At JBodyworks, we instead think about your overall program from the Motor Learning Development Model:
Overall, we’re looking at how many repetitions it takes a client or athlete to move from initially learning the movement, to being able to do the movement as second nature.
About Performance Training
Cognitive phase
This is where you’re learning the movements, where your brain and body are working together to figure it out
Associative phase
You’ve developed facility and strength within the movements
Autonomous phase
You’re owning the movement completely – this is when it becomes second nature
Your development depends on your movement history: Someone who's been an athlete their entire life may move through the cognitive phase rather quickly. And depending on their goals, and the associative phase we may bring in some more traditional programming which allows for better strength development or speed development or overall stability.

About Therapeutic Training
Therapeutic Training is a combination of Orthopedic and Neurological Assessments, and Manual Therapy. While every client or athlete will undergo assessments at the start, in order to develop your training program, we revisit assessments throughout your training, should you need to get back to zero.
Orthopedic and Neurological Assessments allow us to determine how your body’s hardware (muscles, bones, soft tissue) and software (nervous system) are working. It helps us build a more complete picture of how you are moving, and whether your muscles are engaging correctly so that they’ll be turned on and available to you when you need them.
Assessments include testing for normal ranges of motion and proper muscle engagement, so we can differentiate between a strength issue, a motor-control issue, or an underlying issue in which we need to work with our network of physicians or health practitioners.
Oftentimes we have clients coming in with injuries or limited by pain – they’re “stuck.” Therapeutic Training will get you unstuck.
We largely leverage Z-Health, an applied neurology-informed training system, as the scientific foundation for our methodology at JBodyworks. Z-health overall is used to ensure good neural drive, which is the signal that the brain sends to the muscles to control them. By repatterning neurologically, your muscles are there when you need them to perform.
We might work on your balance system (visual and vestibular), integrating vision and inner ears to ensure that everything is “wired” in the right way; we might do proprioception training, where we’re testing and training your brain’s ability to talk to your body; we might evaluate your foot and gait mechanics, adjusting to improve mobility or balance; we might do Manual Therapy.

Audra is a very kind person with a very positive energy and aura. She uses Hendrickson technique which is a therapy for optimum function, rather than just symptomatic relief. Have you ever seen any massage therapist get into your psoas? I've had many deep tissue massages in my life, but her technique is effective and unique.
